15-Hour Online Trauma-Informed Group Supervision Series

Word "Trauma" in maze-like font.

Invest in yourself and your clients by building skill, confidence, and competence in providing trauma-informed care!

Many newer clinicians are worried, fearful, or hesitant about working with trauma.  The truth is, to some degree, trauma is present for every client and every clinician.  It can feel overwhelming to conceptualize and hold client trauma, and it can also trigger our own issues, even when we’re prepared, or not expecting it.  This series is for students and pre-licensed folks who would like to build skill in practicing from a trauma-informed perspective.

This group is for students and pre-licensed individuals seeking LMFT/LPC/LPCC licensure in MN. I am an AAMFT & MN Board Approved Supervisor. My application for supervisor status with BBHT has been submitted and is pending approval.

Meetings will take place online, via a secure video meeting platform.

$35/hour – $175/session – $525/series

You must have an identified primary supervisor to attend this group series.

Supervisees are expected to attend all sessions.

This series will require a minimum of four attendees to run, with a maximum of six. It’s a closed group. That means it’s not open for just anyone to drop in – only those who sign up and start from the beginning will be able to participate. If fewer than four people sign up, I will be touch to discuss options – we may delay the start, reschedule, offer refunds, or consider dyad and individual supervision options. If you’re signing up, be sure to share the info with your friends and colleagues so we get a full group!

Content:

Topics and themes we will consider during case consultation include:

  • Various trauma modalities and interventions
  • Impact of trauma on brains and bodies
  • Intergenerational transmission of trauma
  • Sociocultural factors
  • Ethics of trauma work
  • Self-awareness/self-of-the-therapist
  • Self-soothing and coping for clients and therapists
  • Vicarious trauma

Each supervisee will be expected to share their genogram, and present cases for consultation throughout the series.  Each session is a five-hour, structured format.  Ideas related to trauma treatment will be discussed, but please be aware that this is not intended as an informational course in trauma, and is not a substitute for further educational training in working with various populations.

Though this series will be grounded in self-of-the-therapist awareness and principles, it is not therapy.  If you are unsure of your readiness to attend this series based on your own trauma history, please hold off on registering or reach out for more guidance.
